As it follows from the Office of Competition and Consumers' Protection report on controls carried out by Trade Surveyors various irregularities were exposed in 1455 (34,8%) of 4187 lots of products: apparel for adults and children, undergarments, woven and knitted fabrics, hosiery as well cravats and shawls. Most allegations pertained to labelling – as much as 1359 of 4024 controlled lots. The survey investigated also the presence of chemical compounds in textile products - aromatic amines or formaldehyde and banned: nickel, cadmium and lead. The most frequent irregularity in this scope was the presence of nickel and lead. Also laboratory test were carried out to compare the declared products' composition with the real one. Because of the composition other than the declared one, 122 of 371 lots (32,9%) were questioned. Among the imported products which were questioned, the greatest share had the apparel (including children's one) manufactured in China.
