In the European branch circles, May and June were dedicated to intensive public consultations on trade and economic strategy and relationships between EU and China, announced by the EC for the coming years. Among the issues which were consulted, the first place was taken by the question which challenges and risks are launched by the unquestioned growth of the Chinese economy and its importance on the global scale. On the basis of opinions of the member organisations, the European institutions representing textile-clothing sector (Eurocoton and Euratex) presented their formal standpoints concerning this issue.
