On June 11-13th, 2008 in Memphis (USA) the 28th Triennial Universal Cotton Standards Conference was held by the United States Department of Agriculture. In this conference, the Gdynia Cotton Association took part as the member in the Overseas Delegates. GCA was represented by Zbigniew Roskwitalski - Director and Andrzej Drozdz - expert and by observers group: Alois Schönberger – vicepresident (POLCOTTON), Michal Jozkowicz (POLCOTTON), Zbigniew Cekus (WIMA-S.A.) i Milosz Solewodzinski (ACTIVE TRADE).
According to the Universal Cotton Standards Agreement, authorized delegates scrutinized and adopted new Universal Standards for American Upland Cotton prepared by the USDA, to be applied during next three seasons.
