Cotton Classification Courses

The GDYNIA COTTON ASSOCIATION is one of the three Cotton Associations in the world, and the only one in Europe, holding the cotton classification courses.
The courses are organised in Gdynia, at the GCA Cotton House, and their duration is 9 weeks. All lectures and practical trainings are in English, Polish or Russian. 

Thanks to the practical training dominating during the course, the participants acquire or improve their skills of manual cotton classing. Besides, the students receive a good portion of knowledge about the world cotton markets, transportation and handling of cotton (warehousing, weighing, sampling, etc.). Lately, we have broadened the syllabus in the laboratory – particularly in the scope of HVI issues. This is related to the development of the instrumental method of cotton testing, on world markets. Due to these types of lectures and practical training in manual cotton classification, the graduates of our course are able to interpret the results received from HVI correctly, to trace and capture errors and to react to them in a proper way.

The graduates of the Gdynia Cotton Association work in trading companies, superintendence institutions, governmental agencies related to cotton production, trade and processing in 28 countries of the world.
